I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a clinical social worker specializing in helping you overcome the hold that sexual addiction has on you. I received my formal education from Case Western Reserve University – Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. I am licensed by the State of Ohio as an independent social worker.
I have over 14 years of experience of providing counseling services in the area of working with individuals whose sexual behaviors have caused difficulties in their lives. My clinical work has always been focused on human sexuality. Because of that my practice is specialized.
The treatment methods and testing in the area of sexual addiction is rapidly involving. I strive to keep informed of the latest advances in my field. One way this is done is through my attendance at the annual symposium hosted The International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). This symposium brings together sex addiction treatment professionals from throughout the world. As a CSAT and member of the IITAP community I have access to several assessment tools that are not available to the general therapist. These assessment tools help us to focus treatment.
I am of the belief that one size treatment does not fit all. However, in the treatment of sexual addiction we know what works and what does not. I utilize a task centered approach in treatment of sexual addiction. In working through the tasks you gain specific life competencies. It also assists you in getting on the road to recovery early in the process. If you are tired of bargaining with choas schedule your appontment now.
