I often hear from the people I work with that sex addiction recovery is very challenging. It does not seem to matter whether the issue is porn addiction, affairs, web cams or virtual sex. The struggle is that the sex addiction becomes a part of the person’s automatic response system. With sex addiction there is a pay off which serves as an escape. The problem is that it is only a temporary solution. Sex addiction is described by many as “an old trusted friend”.
